Abacus Lighting has completed the installation of floodlights at a new £600,000 artificial grass pitch at the Henry Beaufort School in Harestock, Hampshire.
The lights will allow activities to take place after dark, with the facility to be used by a number of other local schools, community groups and voluntary organisations.
In all, six floodlighting masts have been installed, with back shields attached to each floodlight to prevent glare onto surrounding properties.
Gini Ainley, community and business development manager at the school, said: "Abacus supported us throughout the pre-planning process and even met with local residents to discuss their concerns. The subsequent lighting solution has effectively reduced the amount of light spillage into neighbouring properties and, so far, we have been very pleased with the performance of the floodlights."
